What to Expect
Your first two introductory sessions will cover CrossFit methodology and basic CrossFit movements. These sessions are primarily instructional, but you should wear workout clothing to be prepared for a quick warmup and for practicing technique.
Additional sessions will be workouts, so be ready to sweat a bit. Not so much at first, but as your technique, range of motion, and fitness level improve, we’ll be stepping up the intensity. Intensity is key to CrossFit, but we use it safely and wisely.
Each workout — not including warmup and practicing technique — typically lasts from five to twenty minutes. Total session time is about one hour.
Based on weather and your preference, we can workout in your apartment, your yard, the park, the sidewalk — anywhere you want to go. Depending on the workout we are doing that day, certain locations will be preferable.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day beforehand. It’s a good thing to do everyday, anyway!
Bring a water bottle, too.
