Any Age, Any Body — Scaled Workouts
Inspired by his active parents and their hardworking generation, David Steinberg founded The City CrossFit, Inc. to focus on the mobility and fitness needs of those 50 and over. People who recognize that they have earned the right to take some time for themselves, to get out and be active again, and who are looking to keep up with the grandkids as long as possible. David is also focused on training fitness beginners of any age.
With that goal in mind, CrossFit style workouts are perfectly adaptable to the fitness needs of any individual — the program can be scaled for any age, and any body.
From What is CrossFit?:
“The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
“The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.”
